Meet Mrs. Cadogan

                                                     Meet Mrs. Cadogan

It is hard to believe that this will be my 6th year at Riverside.  I have been very fortunate to work with such a wonderful staff, supportive parents and great kids.  In my years at Riverside I have held a few different positions.  I first started out as a Junior French Teacher for 3 years,  a half time Learning Support Teacher and for 1 year I had the opportunity to teach grade 5 and 6.  Last year was my first year as a Primary grade 1 and 2 teacher.  To be honest initially I felt as if I had moved to a foreign land.  I had never worked with younger students.  It turned out to be a fantastic experience and I am really looking forward to teaching grade 1 and 2 again.

I have lived in London since high school and attended both Catholic Central and the University of Western Ontario.  I went to teachers college in Antigonish, Nova Scotia at St. Francis Xavier University.  Shortly after teachers college I married my wonderful husband of 16 years, Cliff.

In the years to follow I held a variety of teaching positions on the Oneida reserve, an English teacher in China, a few years of supply teaching with Thames Valley, a grade 4-8 French teacher for 2 years at Aberdeen and finally I arrived at Riverside.

                                                    My Likes:

My first love is my family and friends.  There is nothing more important to me than the time I spend with them.

Running is my greatest past time.  When I am not at school I am usually out running somewhere.  I am currently getting ready to do my second marathon in Chicago in October so I will keep you posted on how that turns out.

Reading is my second passion. I love reading a variety of books and work very hard to share my love of books with my students.

Finally, red licorice , pop corn and wine gums are some of my favourites and as soon as I get my braces off I will be indulging.

I have shared a bit about myself with all of you and over the course of the year I look forward to learning more about you and your families.
